It runs closer and removing the hand from each of the antennas, without actually touching them. The left antenna (from the point of view of a skilled performer) is horizontal and with a loop and serves to control the volume: the closer it is the left hand, lower volume and vice versa.
The right antenna is usually straight and vertical, and serves to control the frequency : the closer the right hand of the same, the sharper the sound.
